Do you love creating elegant solutions to highly complex challenges? Do you intrinsically see the importance in every detail? As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and deploy our System Level Testers, for high-performance System-On-Chip devices. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. We are looking for an experienced test engineer to strengthen our team. We are driving the conception and design of new class of testers, along with the definition of customized test hardware for testing our chipsets. Operational activities involve precise coordination across multi-disciplinary teams, and external suppliers, to ensure availability and quality of the required hardware at our partners' factories, mostly in Asia. We are interested in your skillsets and experiences in complex projects, involving mechanical, electrical, computer controlled systems, and network infrastructures. Your experience would include driving suppliers, and familiarity with manufacturing environment, ideally overseas. Troubleshooting, analyzing issues, and actively driving tasks toward the solutions will be a large part of your contribution to our team and Apple. Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in delivering advanced test solutions, involving internal and external suppliers & customers.
  • Knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing process and proven understanding of Electronic Engineering fundamentals
  • Direct experience in deploying and troubleshooting test solutions in manufacturing sites
  • Expertise in challenges associated with overseas manufacturing
  • Knowledge about system validation interface and understanding of SoC Digital, Mixed Signal & Power
  • Ability to seamlessly handle multiple technologies or domains: EE, CS, ME, Infrastructure, Facilities, Logistics, Production, etc
  • Previous experience in software development is desired, to effectively understand, communicate and work with SW/FW teams
  • Proven results in driving and solving various projects and issues concurrently, while retaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills

Description

- Manage suppliers for hardware design, deliveries and equipments installation - Work with Apple internal test teams, Product Engineering, Quality, Product Management, Software Engineering team for tool related issues, diagnosis and resolution - Lead overall deployment of SLT at the factories, working closely with Global Supply and Test Engineering teams - Support equipment qualification activities, working with vendors, and factories. May involve domestic and international travel - Evaluate new product testability and operability on the SLT platforms, coordinating with internal and external teams. - Drive multiple suppliers and Contract Manufacturers. Host regular tracking meetings, publish reports.

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
