This requires capturing data from customers who have given consent, utilizes strong privacy preserving techniques, and entails aggregating information, all to help inform direction. We develop and operate a variety of Big Data infrastructure products and applications in support of these goals.

Join Apple's Mission-Critical Analytics Team as a Site Reliability Engineer Are you energized by solving large-scale infrastructure challenges that directly impact millions of users? We're seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our data analytics team, where your work will be essential to keeping Apple's most important systems running smoothly. What You'll Do: As part of our team, you'll help Apple engineers answer mission-critical questions about the stability and performance of hardware, firmware, and software that power devices worldwide. You'll develop automation to ensure reliability across thousands of compute and storage instances spanning our large, heterogeneous infrastructure. Your day-to-day will involve diving deep into complex data and application issues, conducting root cause analysis of large-scale problems, and partnering with teammates across Apple to maintain the availability and integrity of our critical analytics applications. The Impact: You'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the development and performance of products that define the user experience-from Apple Intelligence and Safari to the core performance of macOS and iOS. Your expertise in distributed systems and critical thinking will help ensure that Apple's analytics infrastructure scales reliably to meet the demands of our growing ecosystem. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with one or more cloud services environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Experience working with big data technologies and/or applications
  • 5+ years of production experience managing and supporting large scale distributed Big Data applications (from development to production)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with at least one of the following languages and related development tools: Python, Bash, Ruby, Java, Scala
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Kubernetes, Flink, Kafka, Cloud Services
  • Passion for quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
