Key Qualifications

  • You have advanced knowledge of CPU & SOC architecture/design an industry standard interfaces
  • You have strong knowledge of FPGA tool flows; Synthesis, Partitioning, Place & Route: ProtoCompiler, Synplify, Identify, ISE, Vivado, etc.
  • Experience in multi-FPGA partitioning and constraining of synthesis; Design optimizations with respect to FPGA limitations.
  • You are experienced in scripting/programming - ideally Unix, Python, Perl, Tcl, Make, C/C++
  • Strengths in Verilog, SystemVerilog, test-benches, simulation, automation and debug.
  • Experience with cutting edge FPGA devices such as Xilinx Virtex 7/UltraScale/UltraScale+ is a plus.
  • Hardware/System design, tools, debug, lab experience and vendor interface are a plus.
  • Experience with Strong analytical skills, creative attitude and enthusiastic teammate.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrate the desire to tackle diverse challenges

Description

As a prototyping engineer you will be responsible for emulating a complex SOC & are expected to: - Work closely with the team, review specifications, develop prototyping plans and specifications. - Work closely with design & micro-architecture teams to understand the functional & performance goals of the design. - Work on Synthesis / Place & Route, timing optimization, develop plans for custom hardware. - Work independently & manage deliverables to align with project goals plus support cross-functional engineering efforts

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
