Silicon Material Engineering Project Specialist

Be at the center of the action on new custom silicon product development for Apple's groundbreaking Products. Apple's HWTech team is looking for an inventive, high-energy Engineering Project Specialist (EPS) for the planning of various silicon material across engineering teams. As an EPS within the HWTech organization, you will be responsible for planning, implementation and ongoing support of the engineering silicon material. The SEG environment is dynamic and ever-changing; flexibility is a requirement. The ability to prioritize and react quickly is essential. As an EPS, you will work closely with multi-functional engineering teams and external vendors to facilitate silicon validation. We are looking for a material manager with excellent social skills, who is detail oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize time-sensitive work. The goal is to provide engineering support for the development and validation of innovative silicon material, spanning engineering design phases through production release and ramp for our innovative products.

Description

- Develop and manage silicon material plans for new product validation programs and teams - Drive vendors to deliver to material plan; holding vendor accountable for QTY and schedule - Play a primary role in material allocation - Closely supervise material WIP from factory through to the engineering teams - Identify and drive mitigation for issues that stem from material shortage, schedule delay, or engineering changes - Communicate delivery schedules and be familiar with associated details such as test program, special fusing requirements, associated memory, corners, packaging, expedite status - Ensure the smooth flow of material vital to meet the validation requirements and schedules - Report on material progress and investigate material blocker issues - Establish and maintain silicon health dashboards

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or 3+ years of industry experience
  • Familiarity with semiconductor supply chain - wafer, test, package, OSAT, or Foundry flows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Silicon material management experience
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation
  • Highly detail oriented, ensuring accuracy of all data, status and reports
  • Excellent communication; both written and verbal
  • Top-notch critical thinking, with ability to weigh both macro & micro level detail
  • Ability to stay calm and respond in time sensitive environments
  • Experience partnering with overseas vendors
  • A self-starter who is comfortable operating with ambiguity
  • A very high degree of familiarity with Excel for day-to-day use

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
