Senior Software Development Manager
The cloudOS team is responsible for all facets of delivering OS and system services on Apple silicon servers, including driving hardware and software initiatives to enable new Apple silicon-based systems in data centers.
Description
You will work cross-functionally with architecture, platform design, SOC architects, and software teams to develop and integrate best in class hardware, software and services. You will be responsible for building and maintaining system software that powers next generation of data centers. You will ensure high quality and agility with unit tests, integration tests and performance tests. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS: Strong skills in software design and programming. Passion about developing new features, maintaining existing code, and fixing bugs. Strong problem-solving skills. Skilled at the art of communication and enjoys it. We are a creative, collaborative, product-focused team who is working on meaningful work that is visible across all of Apple!
Minimum Qualifications
- M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience as a System software developer
- Strong understanding of hardware components and hardware/software interactions
- Experience with Low level software and computer architecture.
- Good understanding of network technologies, protocols and procedures for iOS and macOS
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Passion for software architecture, APIs and high performance extensible software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Swift, Objective-C and Apple development tools
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $262,500 and $393,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
