The Program Managers in Maps lead cross-functional teams to deliver incredible user experiences across all Apple platforms, including iOS, Watch, Vision Pro, Web, and developer. Description
Program Managers in Maps deliver the right feature at the right time. It's a hands-on, cross-functional, and highly engaged role. A great PM is the beating heart of their team-driving alignment, clearing ambiguity, and pushing for quality every step of the way. As a Senior Program Manager on our team, you will: - Lead delivery of customer-facing features across Apple platforms-from concept through launch-with a focus on improving exploration, discovery, and engagement in Apple Maps. - Define scope, priorities, and success metrics while balancing technical feasibility with user value. - Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, design, product, and data science. - Evaluate user experiences critically-identifying what works and what needs refinement. - Employ a solution-oriented approach to make informed decisions on trade-offs between usability, performance, and technical constraints. - Communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly across teams and leadership. - Contribute to roadmap development by identifying user needs, aligning goals, and influencing product direction. - Represent your program with accountability and integrity across Apple's internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of Program Management or Technical Program Management experience in consumer or developer-facing products.
- Demonstrated success shipping client applications (e.g., iOS, macOS) and/or complementary web or backend services.
- Strong empathy for users and the ability to reason through product design trade-offs.
- Extraordinary leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs and drive alignment across stakeholders.
- Experience working in a dynamic, execution-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical background or hands-on experience with software development is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Maps, location-based services, or machine learning-informed features.
- Passion for product quality, user experience design, and attention to detail.
- MS, MBA, or equivalent experience is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
