You'll be working in a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to invent and implement world-class algorithms that pushes the state of the art. Your job responsibilities will include: * Invent and implement state of the art tracking algorithms that leverages visual and IMU/inertial fusion. * Design such algorithms to work reliably and efficiently on mobile devices. * Collaborate with other teams in software and hardware to ensure the full pipeline runs efficiently and utilizes Apple hardware effectively. * Cooperate with your team members to prepare reports and presentations to explain your inventions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree or relevant equivalent and 5+ years of experience in machine learning
- Hands-on industry experience in C++ and Python for designing and developing tracking systems, sensor fusion solutions, and machine learning technologies.
- Proven familiarity of modern machine learning algorithms and practical experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
- 5+ years of industry experience with a track record of successful projects
- Strong experience in visual-inertial tracking, state estimation with factor graphs or Kalman Filtering, or neural inertial odometry/localization
- Strong experience in machine learning and 3D object tracking algorithms
- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree or relevant equivalent and 3+ years of experience in machine learning
- Experience in handling sensors such as IMU, camera and magnetometer
- Track record of designing and successfully building and shipping products
- Publication record in ML demonstrating innovative research
- Expertise in multi-modal sensor fusions frameworks and statistical modeling
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
