You'll work alongside our data engineering teams, as well as our privacy and legal advisors, to ensure our data management practices are beyond reproach. Your responsibilities will not only involve hands-on software development but also strategic involvement in the lifecycle management of data, from creation to archival. Your expertise in both front-end and back-end development, combined with a deep understanding of API services and data pipelines, will be instrumental in building solutions that enable us to manage our data governance objectives effectively. Key Qualifications

  • Profound expertise in full-stack web development, with 5 years' experience crafting web applications using TypeScript or JavaScript, complemented by contemporary libraries and frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in backend API development and management, with 5 years' experience in languages such as Java, Scala, Ruby, or Go.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data engineering, including designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions (SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehouses).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for development, testing, and deployment of applications.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security principles, with experience in implementing solutions that comply with data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in software development best practices, including version control with Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

Description

As an integral part of our software engineering team focused on Data Governance solutions, your mission will involve the creation of intuitive UIs, robust APIs, and comprehensive reporting tools. These elements are crucial for enabling stakeholders to manage, query, and monitor data governance metadata effectively. Your contributions will be pivotal in upholding Apple's standards of Privacy, Compliance, and Security.

Education & Experience

Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience developing data governance software or integrating systems with a data governance system
  • Experience working with large data collection and processing systems
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal aptitude.
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
