Description

The Central Finance team supports Apple's Legal teams associated with Competition, Regulatory, Commercial Litigation, and Intellectual Property related matters including high profile cases. This role offers unique exposure to (a) financials and related data associated with Apple's core products and services and (b) various teams across Apple's finance, data analytics, engineering, legal, and other teams. This role also has a high degree of ownership to create new and improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of Apple's financial systems.
  • Identify, extract, analyze, investigate, and maintain / develop an in-depth understanding of Apple's relevant Product and Service financials.
  • Work directly with Apple's Legal teams to understand and fulfill financial related requests, contributing to high profile cases.
  • Collaborate with Apple's various finance teams, data analytics teams, engineering teams, among others to identify, understand, and provide data requested by the Legal teams.
  • Present financial related data in a clear and understandable manner, visually and verbally, and across different levels of management.
  • Refine existing processes for gathering, analyzing, and producing data, as well as creating new processes and systems as needs change.
  • Perform detailed internal and external research of economic and financial issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of finance or related experience including but not limited to litigation / damages consulting, competition / regulatory experience, financial and valuation consulting, external reporting, corporate finance, etc.
  • BS/BA or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with litigation, competition, and/or regulatory matters.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of financial analysis, strong analytical skills, curious mindset, familiarity with accounting principles, and ability to investigate ambiguous finance / data questions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex financial concepts and describe data in simple business terms.
  • Strong data management skills including experience in developing and using complex spreadsheets and databases.
  • Strong desire to take ownership of processes, including introducing automation, maintaining detailed records, and other workflow improvements.
  • Proficient in working with cross-functional teams across different levels of management.
  • Strong prioritization skills with a proven track record of successfully and simultaneously managing multiple complex projects while meeting critical deadlines.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,500 and $166,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
