As part of the Clinical Team, Apple is looking for an individual who will partner with Apple Clinicians, Product, Regulatory and Study team members to implement strategies to support Health feature development across the product lifecycle. Candidates must possess deep subject matter expertise in clinical product research and development including prior experience in the medical device industry.

Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to build innovative consumer-focused features, is effective at driving detailed deliverables on time, is capable of working closely with multi-functional teams, engages well in open discussion and debate, and does not shy from a challenge. Other responsibilities include: • Provide clinical leadership based on portfolio direction. • Dive into details of targeted claims, and specify relevant clinical validation design feasibility, and complexity. • Provide clinical input, contribute to statistical analyses plans, protocols, pre-submission documents, and clinical study reports. • Provide input on best practices in different therapeutic areas re: gold standard endpoints and outcome measures, scientific/clinical validity evaluations, study instruments and questionnaires, and the relevant standards for evaluating medical devices. • Anticipate, adjust for, and communicate problems, risks, and roadblocks. • Communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external subject matter authorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO is required for this role
  • Physician with at least 10 years of clinical practice experience
  • 5+ years of product development experience in industry, technology or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills including interactions with senior executives.
  • Expertise in coaching and mentoring clinicians in product development.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and interest to support conversations around the globe.
  • Recognized expertise in a clinical field.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and implement detailed plans under tight timelines.
  • Demonstrate understanding of how Apple's health products are developed and validated.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
