The Finance Process, Analytics, Reporting, and Technology (PART) team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Analyst. As part of this team, you will support Apple's growth, both top and bottom line, by applying the same level of innovation toward financial matters as we do toward our products and services. We work closely with various business teams to deeply understand current and future commercial initiatives and then partner with data engineering, data science and full stack development teams to ensure our finance teams are fully empowered to operate efficiently and make well-informed decisions. We are looking for an outgoing professional with high analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to support the WW Sales and Retail Finance Organization. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering across business teams to find and execute on the highest leverage opportunities to improve key finance capabilities through data, process, and technology solutions. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to understand and work with complex data sets generated from equally complex business processes in order to drive insights.

Success in this role requires an individual who can think strategically, connecting the dots between the bigger picture and the details of key deliverables. You must be self-motivated, comfortable working with minimal direction in a global, fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, and capable of leading complex projects to successful completion. You'll connect the dots, build trust and understanding between groups, and orchestrate the activities needed to deliver impactful solutions. This role is at the intersection of business analysis, program management, and technical strategy. You will partner with Apple Retail, Sales, Finance, and technical teams to deeply understand relevant business activities, commercial interests, and related processes. You'll translate business needs into clear requirements for data engineering, data science, and development teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and successful implementation of solutions that empower our finance organization. Responsibilities: - Deeply understand Apple's relevant business activities, commercial interests and related processes - Identify opportunities to improve internal reporting, analytical capabilities, and financial processes. - Lead the full lifecycle of initiatives - from initial concept and business case development through requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, testing, and rollout. - Translate opportunities/business requirements into detailed technical requirements and work with technical partners to assess feasibility and form project plans. - Define and implement critical program metrics; identify key success measures for projects being implemented. - Communicate business value of proposed projects to senior leadership for prioritization and secure buy-in from key stakeholders. - Drive prioritized projects, proactively manage risks/issues, and communicate progress on planned milestones to senior leadership through regular status updates. - Partner with and train analysts to best use our data and technology infrastructure for building dashboards/reports and conducting analyses. - Champion best practices in data management, governance, and business processes to instill a robust and sustainable data strategy across sales and sales finance for analytics to support demand and financial planning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in finance, planning, management consulting, data analytics, or related field - demonstrating both analytical depth and project leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading strategic programs/projects, combined with the ability to execute tactical tasks. Experience managing global technical projects that interweave across multiple functional teams and/or systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-framing, problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to change direction quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate results of analysis in business terms and present complex information to senior leadership.
  • Technical acumen required to effectively discuss and strategize on solutions with IT teams; understanding of development lifecycles is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and working with large datasets
  • Proficient in Excel and ideally experience with data analytics tools (e.g., R, Python) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
  • Understanding of data management best practices to ensure sustainable data strategy in business areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams with or without direct reports; natural leader and motivator that can lead through influence.
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable with driving clarity through ambiguity.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
