Apple's Media Conferencing & Screen Sharing group is looking for a proactive and hardworking engineer to design and build software tools for use in development, debugging, and performance monitoring. Our group develops the technology that powers real-time audio and video communications features such as Group FaceTime, FaceTime, WifiCalling, iPhone Mirroring, and Remote Desktop to name a few. We support all of Apple's platforms: iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS.

Description

We are looking for an effective software engineer to design and build software automation using machine learning to make the initial screening and triaging of bug reports more effective. You'll be working within the real-time audio and video framework team that drives Apple's real-time communication software like Group FaceTime. As a media tools and screening engineer, you will be responsible for initial bug investigations while developing tools to automate, expedite, and optimize the triage process for our team. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining internal applications that help Apple develop new software features and improve media quality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Python and/or JavaScript
  • Experience developing automation software
  • Dedicated and thrives when facing open ended tasks
  • Strong collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile software development
  • Skilled at issue tracking and log analysis
  • Experience with machine learning or data analytics
  • Experience with TypeScript or React
  • Experience with C/objC/C++ programming

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $204,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
