Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Create special effects or animations using film, video, computers, or other electronic tools and media for use in products, such as computer games, movies, music videos, and commercials. Responsible for bridging the gap between the creative and technical aspects of research and development for projects to create visually compelling 3D assets and environments. Create visually compelling 3D content for various internal and public-facing projects and demos. Work in 3D content creation programs such as Maya, Blender, Houdini, Nuke, Substance Painter, Mari, Photoshop, and proprietary programs such as RCPro. Work closely with engineers to find and fix graphical bugs and polish and refine internal shader systems. Train and guide internal and external partners on content development best practices including adhering to established quality bars and building 3D content to perform efficiently on targeted hardware platforms. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 - $248,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Graphics, Animation, Fine Arts, and Visual Effects or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 6 months of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Offline Rendering in VRay, Arnold, Clarisse, or Renderman
  • Experience with real-time rendering programs, including Unreal Engine, Unity, idTech, FrostBite, or Hammer engines
  • 3D content texturing experience utilizing Substance Painter and Mari
  • 3D environment terrain texturing experience utilizing Substance Painter and Mari
  • Utilizing source control programs, including Perforce and Git
  • Creating film-quality or AAA game studio-quality hero props for real-time applications such as film games, VR/AR experiences or simulations
