We're seeking a highly skilled and diligent Production Manager with a consistent track record of managing fast-paced, multi-camera studio productions. This role sits at the heart of our content creation process - from pre-production planning through post-production.

Description

As part of our studio team, the Production Manager will be responsible for the seamless execution of studio operations, crew management, budget oversight, and production logistics. You'll collaborate closely with creative leads, directors, producers, and technical teams to ensure every shoot is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. The key responsibilities include overseeing pre-production planning, scheduling crew and resources, handling production and post-production budgets, and ensuring compliance with health & safety guidelines. You'll manage contractor onboarding and tenure, track timecards and invoices, and coordinate equipment rentals, engineering schedules, and vendor travel. Some additional requirements include: • Manage all phases of production, including scheduling, budgeting, shoot logistics, and final wrap procedures. • Build and manage production budgets; track actuals, forecast costs, raise purchase orders, and report variances. • Manage crew scheduling, call sheets, studio bookings, and key production documents. • Coordinate engineering schedules in partnership with technical teams. • Ensure all elements of production adhere to Apple policies and health & safety protocols. • Partner with producers, directors, department heads and cross-functional partners to align on creative goals, timelines, and deliverables. • Process contractor timecards and vendor invoices, ensuring timely approval and compliance with company policies. • Liaise with finance and procurement teams on contractor and vendor engagements. • Lead hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of production contractors and freelancers. • Maintain a backfill roster for crew and post-production teams; oversee candidate outreach, interviews, and onboarding logistics. • Manage contractor compliance, including NDAs, safety training, and certification tracking. • Track contractor tenure and ensure adherence to legal requirements. • Secure production equipment and rentals, coordinating across engineering, post, and photo teams. • Oversee on-set logistics including any catering needs, call times, and day-of troubleshooting. • Serve as a point of contact for vendor travel coordination and on-site visits. • Provide backup support for Scheduling Coordinator as needed. This is a site-based, in studio role. Some evening or weekend work may be required based on production needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Production Manager in a multi-camera studio setting, overseeing complex shoots, crew coordination, and live or as-live productions.
  • Proven experience in live or live-to-tape, multi-camera production workflows.
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and cost-tracking capabilities.
  • Strong network of trusted production and post-production crew, including directors, camera operators, floor producers, PAs, live audio engineers, editors, and post-audio mixers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in a scheduling tool such as farmerswife, Movie Magic, ScheduALL, or Xytech.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solution-oriented mentality with the ability to make decisions independently while escalating when vital.
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of post-production operations, including editorial, finishing, and media asset management.
  • Ability to navigate and support a multi-disciplinary production environment that combines several specialized areas of media creation within a single facility.
  • Strong curiosity and openness to learning; embraces workflows and practices that may fall outside traditional media production norms.
  • Comfortable adapting to evolving tools, systems, and hybrid production models unique to this dynamic and innovative environment.
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration across creative, technical, and operational teams.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $58.46 and $88.08/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
