Description
We're looking for an inspired and creative individual to champion exciting new music products and initiatives. In this role you'll work on unprecedented greenfield programs and craft briefs, messaging, and campaigns for features beloved by hundreds of millions of users worldwide. On this team, we are experts at representing the perspective and voice of the customer - whether an end user, artist, label, or partner - to develop the consideration set and business requirements that ultimately shape Shazam's roadmap and marketing plans. Cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Legal and more, rely on us to keep them informed and deliver well-researched, data-driven recommendations and solutions that influence their decisions and policies. They look to us for innovative go-to-market strategies and channel plans that consistently drive awareness and adoption of, or engagement with our products and programs. Our team also serves as product and program evangelists to external stakeholders, including artists, industry partners, press, and customers. As such, this role requires frequent interactions with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners, alike. We operate in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. There are always new ideas to be vetted, partners to pitch, campaigns to position, and problems to solve. As a result, strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills are required for our success and credibility. You must be an effective project owner, able to structure ambiguous asks into well-defined deliverables, synthesize complex features or issues into clear points, negotiate effectively with stakeholders, and tailor your communication by context and audience- whether you're speaking to customers, artists and partners, or senior leadership. Our work on campaigns also requires us to be organized, meticulous, punctual, and attentive to stakeholder and customer needs. We're responsible for ensuring that every marketing plan or campaign is executed smoothly and successfully, and that we proactively monitor performance, identify and triage issues, find real-time escalation paths and solutions, and roll up our sleeves to verify that solutions have been thoroughly implemented. Quality control and assurance is part of the job.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of deep experience in either marketing, business development, partner / account management, or product roles for consumer products and services. B2C Tech, Music or Entertainment industry experience a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success evangelizing and positioning products / brands, and performance to internal and external stakeholders, i.e. artists, industry partners, and customers.
- Strong proficiency with D2C marketing channels and software (i.e. website, social media, App Store, public forums, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience representing the customer across the product lifecycle and influencing the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
- Affinity for storytelling and able to craft compelling narratives and messaging that result in business impact and resonance with both internal and external audiences.
- Strong understanding of product development, and ability to communicate effectively with Product, Design, and Engineering.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen and socialize ideas across functions, and build strong working relationships outside of Apple.
- Extraordinary attention to detail with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Results-driven with an analytical mindset and creative thinking skills for building effective business cases and making strategic decisions.
- Highly curious self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity, and able to learn and adapt quickly to rapid change in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, proactive, and results-driven colleague, with a sense of humor, curiosity, and strong desire to learn and grow.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,400 and $221,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
