The Privacy QA & Tools team is a dynamic and dedicated group, committed to ensuring that features are delivered in accordance with Apple's privacy standards. The Privacy QA & Tools team also builds tools to improve the efficiency and productivity of user privacy org. We are seeking an engineer with a passion for test development to help us ensure that the strong privacy protections in Apple's platforms remain that way in every release and every build. Every Apple product and feature contains privacy functionality - from Siri to Maps to App Store to UIKit - and your focus will be to work with teams all across the company and at all levels of the stack to ensure there is an automated test plan for their features' privacy functionality. This work will impact software features touching millions of our customers and developers worldwide.

Description
This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical and collaboration skills to handle responsibilities including: collaborating with other teams on their automated test plans for iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS; designing, implementing, and handing off automated tests to teams as necessary; integrating with server-side components as appropriate. Additional responsibilities will include risk analysis and integration testing across Apple platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Python, Swift, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Good understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
- Experience in developing comprehensive test plans, test cases and automating them.
- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills with a passion for quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience working on cross-functional projects, collaborating with various teams to achieve project objectives.
- Skilled at debugging, troubleshooting, and critical thinking on bug prioritization.
- Experience using Xcode to write, triage, and debug automation scripts, as well as test harness enhancements, primarily focused on UI applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, facilitating clear and effective communication across team members and departments.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced development environments with rapid release cycles and tight deadlines.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
