The successful candidate will be responsible for helping develop communications strategy and proactively managing activity with media and influencers to drive understanding and excitement around the App Store and developer initiatives.

Description

Responsibilities include driving strategy; planning and execution of major PR programs and initiatives; monitoring and analyzing developments in the news; and identifying and managing issues in a dynamic environment and continuous news cycle. Candidates should have strong media relations skills and the ability to craft messaging that supports compelling media stories, create communications programs, and drive momentum across new products and features.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in public relations, PR agency or corporate settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be ambitious with a real passion for technology and innovation
  • Strong PR experience in the areas of consumer technology, digital services/apps, developer storytelling are preferred
  • A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to focus and simplify tasks while managing multiple projects and programs from start to finish
  • Works well under pressure, with proven experience working on complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects
  • Ability to quickly analyze media coverage and sentiment, see around corners and apply insights to the team's work
  • Effective collaborator who will work cross functionally across teams and geographies while demonstrating integrity at all times
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
