The Marcom Production Operations team (MPO) is a technically focused production service org which covers everything from device management and R&D to media operations and signal flow on productions. The teams behind these areas help to deliver world class productions across all business lines on technically complex projects with creative that pushes the limits on what is possible. We're seeking a team member that can lead and work with us to deliver these projects with a focus on the customer experience while keeping a sense of curiosity and humbleness that continues to help the team innovate and grow. The Marcom Photo Technician Lead works within the MPO group and supports photography production projects.The lead oversees and coordinates the efforts of up to 15 digital photo techs, supporting photo productions on and offset.

This role requires a quality-driven leader who leads with clarity, empathy, and purpose-someone who elevates the work and the team without letting ego get in the way. As a Lead Photo Tech, you'll set the tone for collaboration, foster a culture of trust and accountability, and lead by example through action and integrity. You bring deep expertise in photo production and digital asset workflows, but just as importantly, you know how to listen, support, and guide others toward shared success. You'll uphold Apple's brand standards and DEI values by supporting inclusive initiatives and fostering a respectful, supportive team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Builds strong cross-functional relationships to align with business goals, showing integrity, transparency, and accountability. Solve problems with flexibility and a focus on efficient, high-quality outcomes Collaborate with producers, creatives, operations, and cross-functional teams to support diverse technical needs Lead and organize still photo shoots; manage image prep and partner on final asset selection Design and maintain workflows for DSLR, Apple Devices and related photo tech responsibilities on and off set Develop user training programs for the team Provide regular reporting on asset performance, growth, and lifecycle metrics Create and maintain metadata schemas that align with business goals Streamline and optimize workflows for asset use across platforms Run the day to day management of the photo techs, scheduling, training, R&D, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of on-set experience in photography and as a digital photo technician
  • Experience leading large scale projects and seeing them through execution
  • Experience managing and maintaining large-scale image archives and digital asset libraries
  • Knowledge of photographic systems and workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume photo production environments
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Quick learner with strong task management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to high-quality standards with a sharp eye for detail
  • Able to follow established procedures while meeting or exceeding productivity targets
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and adheres to strict security protocols for handling sensitive or unreleased content
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, collaborative setting
  • Experience creating software tools, and/or providing QA and QC on customized tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
