The Sensing Systems team integrates capacitive, optical, MEMS, and magnetic sensors across a variety of Apple products such as the Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and more. Description
- Sensor design/modeling and analog circuit simulations - Schematic design of boards and flexible assemblies - Future technology scoping and proof-of-concept investigations - Business travel to support product development Cross-functional Responsibilities: - Manage cross-functional technical development of sensors - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Process Engineering, to deliver state-of-the-art sensing solutions - Ability to present to Executive Management on key developments / issues - Contribute technical assessments to strategic decision-making relating to technology and investments

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong electrical engineering background in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design, hands-on experience with board-level circuit design
- Experience in MATLAB, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools, scripting experience for data analysis and automation
- Experience with photodiode front-ends, LED/VCSEL drivers, and basic optics knowledge is required
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Sensor and systems integration experience preferred
- Experience with optical sensing systems is a plus
- Experience with design and bring-up of optical assemblies and platforms comprising of electro-optical and mechanical components is a plus
- Experience with CAD modeling and rapid prototyping is a plus
- M.S./PhD in Electrical Engineering. Industry experience preferred
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
