The Finance Process, Analytics, Reporting, and Technology (PART) team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manager. As part of this team, you will support Apple's growth, both top and bottom line, by applying the same level of innovation toward financial matters as we do toward our products and services. We work closely with various business teams to deeply understand current and future commercial initiatives and then partner with data engineering, data science, and full stack development teams to ensure our finance teams are fully empowered to operate efficiently and make well-informed decisions. We are looking for an outgoing professional with high analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to support the WW Retail Finance organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts while partnering across business teams to find and execute on the highest leverage opportunities to improve key finance capabilities through data, process, and technology solutions. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to understand and work with complex data sets generated from equally complex business processes in order to drive insights, all while developing talent and building team capabilities.
Description
Success in this role requires an individual who can think strategically, connecting the dots between the bigger picture and the details of key deliverables. You must be self-motivated, comfortable working in a global, fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, and capable of leading complex projects to successful completion while building and mentoring a high-performing team. You'll connect the dots, build trust and understanding between groups, and orchestrate the activities needed to deliver impactful solutions while fostering a collaborative team environment. This role is at the intersection of people leadership, business analysis, program management, and technical strategy. You will partner with Apple Retail Finance and technical teams to deeply understand relevant business activities, commercial interests, and related processes. You'll translate business needs into clear requirements for data engineering, data science, and development teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and successful implementation of solutions that empower our finance organization. Additionally, you'll be responsible for developing your team's capabilities and ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to excel. - Deeply understand Apple's relevant business activities, commercial interests and related processes, and ensure your team has the context needed to be effective. - Identify opportunities to improve internal reporting, analytical capabilities, and financial processes while building your team's capability to independently recognize and pursue similar opportunities. - Lead the full lifecycle of initiatives - from initial concept and business case development through requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, testing, and rollout, delegating appropriately while maintaining accountability. - Translate opportunities/business requirements into detailed technical requirements and work with technical partners to assess feasibility and form project plans, effectively utilizing team members in the process to build their skills. - Define and implement critical program metrics; identify key success measures for projects being implemented and establish performance standards for your team. - Communicate business value of proposed projects to senior leadership for prioritization and secure buy-in from key stakeholders, representing both your work and your team's contributions. - Drive prioritized projects, proactively manage risks/issues, and communicate progress on planned milestones to senior leadership through regular status updates while ensuring your team is aligned and equipped to deliver. - Partner with and train analysts across the broader organization to best use our data and technology infrastructure for improving processes, building dashboards/reports, and conducting analyses, while developing your team's training and mentoring capabilities. - Champion best practices in data management, governance, and business processes to instill a robust and sustainable data strategy across sales and sales finance for analytics to support demand and financial planning.

Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in finance, planning, management consulting, data analytics, or related field - demonstrating analytical depth, project leadership, and increasing responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, providing guidance on both technical and business matters while fostering professional growth and career development.
- Excellent problem-framing, problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to change direction quickly while maintaining team alignment and morale.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate results of analysis in business terms, present complex information to senior leadership, and effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
- Technical acumen required to effectively discuss and strategize on solutions with IT teams; understanding of development lifecycles and ability to guide technical decision-making.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and working with large datasets, with ability to mentor others in these skills.
- Proficient in Excel and experience with data analytics tools (e.g., R, Python) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau), with ability to guide tool selection and usage across the team.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of leading strategic programs/projects across multiple stakeholders, combined with the ability to execute tactical tasks and delegate effectively. Experience managing global technical projects that interweave across multiple functional teams and/or systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of data management best practices to ensure sustainable data strategy in business areas and ability to implement governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results through influence; natural leader and motivator with experience building collaborative, high-performance team cultures.
- Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable with driving clarity through ambiguity while providing clear direction to team members.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $149,700 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
