APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Research and develop computer vision and machine learning SW algorithms, including Human motion understanding. Research, design, develop, implement and debug computer vision and machine learning algorithms for Apple products including iPhone, iPad and AppleTVs. Develop internal tools for debugging and demo purposes including end-to-end evaluation and visualization. Write high-quality algorithm development code for our framework/library ARKit. Profile and optimize algorithms for on-device deployment. Co-ordinate with upstream and downstream teams on quality improvements and requirements to design an algorithm suitable for the targeted use-case. 5% International and Domestic Travel Required. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,534 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 2 years of experience in each of the following skills is required:
• Using Python, including experience in Data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, Object-oriented design, large-scale data handling
• Experience in major machine learning framework: TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch
• Experience in 3D Computer Vision concepts including 3D reconstruction, triangulation, and camera calibration.
• Experience in Machine Learning concepts including deep learning, model training, key losses, and KPI
• Experience in CVML algorithms including Object Detection and Recognition algorithms YOLO; experience in Pose estimation algorithms including Stacked-hourglass, OpenPose; and experience in Temporals models including TCN, and LSTM.
• Experience working with real world data
• Experience with collecting 2D / 3D data in the field and designing ground truth benchmarks
• Experience communicating technical findings to the team
