Description

APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Design automated test systems to calibrate and characterize Apple's novel display panel technology. Develop industry-leading calibration and metrology solutions to support a range of Apple products. Automate the operation of complex hardware components that work in concert to generate volume data. Leverage data to extract critical knowledge to drive corrective actions and operationalize continuous improvement plans. Enhance and develop test automation solutions to be deployed at scale across manufacturing sites. Perform rigorous application of unit testing to evaluate code design and drive high-quality standards. Provide crips and rigorous presentations and reports. Communicate with a broad range of cross-functional teams. International Travel Required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 6 months of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Designing and developing test automation solutions for product inspection.
  • Writing low-level programming code (C or C++) and scripting (Lua or Python) to automate operation of hardware.
  • Analyzing production data for anomalies and driving failure analysis and corrective actions utilizing MATLAB, Python, or JMP for data analysis.
  • Developing algorithms (OpenCV library utilization and C/C++ for implementation) to process raw data and derive aggregate figures of merit.
  • Mining large data sets to support failure analysis and correlation studies with upstream sources.
  • Engaging cross-functional peers to identify testing requirements used to set product requirements.
  • Weekly communication with executive chain to update on progress and open issues related to execution and delivery of test automation solutions.
