Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Lead the design of Apple Home product's development platform. Architect and implement the power distribution and hardware solution for automated testing, debugging features and long-term extensibility. Drive the layout including component placement, high-speed routing and signal integrity analysis by layout model extraction and simulation. Lead architecture, schematic and layout reviews for cross-functional users. Work with vendors for early-stage component qualification and optimize usage for audio subsystems. Design schematics and support test and development of sensor subsystems. Perform simulation and tolerance analysis for power systems to ensure reliability across operation modes. 10% international travel required. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience and/or education must include:
- Designing consumer electronics circuits using circuit analysis, load estimation and high speed digital interface.
- Using datasheet and SPICE models for electronics component selection.
- Authoring electrical schematic using Cadence SysCap or Altium.
- Printed Circuit Board component placement and layout using Cadence SysCap or Altium.
- Prototyping using hand soldering and wiring techniques.
- Performing circuit performance analysis using SPICE or ANSYS tools.
- Performing circuit validation using lab instruments, including Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscopes and power supplies.
- Developing and executing hardware validation for Printed Circuit Boards.
