As a Globalization Project Manager, you will use your strong technical and AI-focused background to drive critical globalization initiatives. This role is central to advancing globalization workflows across Contact Center & Service Tools, Equity & Inclusion programs, and production, with a significant emphasis on automation. You will be pivotal in the strategic adoption and optimization of AI/ML, Large Language Models (LLMs), and machine translation (MT). A working understanding of AI's capabilities is important to maintaining Apple's extraordinary quality, improving operational efficiency, and enabling scale and innovation. Additionally, you will lead partner engagement, process standardization, technical enablement, and globalization readiness efforts, all critical to improving globalization impact within the company.

Description

- Lead globalization projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness with a strategic emphasis on AI-driven solutions. - Advise business partners and develop proposals for innovative AI-powered solutions that address globalization challenges and deliver positive business impact. - Drive geo-expansion initiatives and automate workflow processes by configuring, integrating, and optimizing AI/ML technologies, applying JavaScript, Python, and AppleScript where needed. - Partner with cross-functional teams to align with Apple's global strategy, integrate AI capabilities, and ensure content suitability for AI processing. - Lead vendor relationships and collaborate with the Linguistic Quality team to define and maintain output quality metrics for Apple's customers. - Conduct sophisticated data analysis to generate reports and insights that support globalization strategy and decision-making. - Communicate project status, bug resolutions, and present the efficiency and outcomes of globalization initiatives to senior leaders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in translation/globalization or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience leading sophisticated globalization projects for a large, global organization, demonstrating exceptional program and project management skills.
  • Expertise in localization technology, including Translation Management Systems (TMS) and system integrations, with a proven track record of implementing and optimizing AI-powered tools and workflows (e.g., CMS, MT platforms).
  • Understanding and practical experience with AI/ML technologies in localization, including Machine Translation (MT), Large Language Models (LLMs), and prompt engineering. This includes the ability to strategically apply these technologies and understand their capabilities and limitations.
  • Strong technical proficiency in automating localization workflows using AI/ML-driven solutions, with practical experience in JavaScript, Python, and AppleScript to configure or integrate systems.
  • Advanced data analysis skills to generate insights on AI model performance, efficiency gains, and quality assessment, advising strategic decisions.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills, able to articulate sophisticated globalization concepts to diverse audiences and influence partners across all levels.
  • Confirmed ability to lead a wide variety of content types and file formats, coupled with a strong passion for customer experience and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, adapting quickly to the constantly evolving AI landscape.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of call/contact center support workflows.
  • Familiarity with Apple Support and AppleCare.
