Description
This is a high visibility role where you will drive firmware quality by writing firmware level tests. Our team ensures that the different functional parts of the system are fully tested and quality is built in. You will work with firmware and software teams to design and build tests. You will be responsible for creating/writing/running the tests and collecting meaningful performance metrics to drive program quality. You will also bring your experience to analyze field issues and gaps that could be plugged by tests at the firmware level. In this role, you'll identify and drive key focus areas cross-functionally and metrics collected as part of this effort, will be presented regularly to the executive team.

Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in an Engineering field
- 1+ years of internship/real world experience with embedded systems
- Proficiency with automation tools and scripting (Python preferred)
- Experience writing C/C++ code on an embedded system
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Extensive Python scripting skills
- 2+ years of internship/real world experience with embedded systems
- Experience with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, etc.)
- Self directed, analytical and work well in a large cross functional environment
- Strong communication skills, with good understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
- Working knowledge of Bluetooth protocols, flash management, and OTA firmware updates
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $204,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
