As part of the Supply Chain Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in building end-to-end, best-in-class software solutions for Apple's Supply Chain needs, ranging from Supply Planning and Demand Planning to Product Distribution and beyond. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to define and implement solutions that optimize Apple's internal business processes.

Description

As an Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex software development from initiation to completion. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and project management expertise to ensure project objectives, deadlines, and budgets are met. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Business, Development, Architect and Quality assurance, to drive project success. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage software development projects from concept to completion, ensuring feasibility and alignment with business goals. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and risk management strategies. Collaborate with engineering teams, Business, QA, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Plan and execute Sprint planning sessions to ensure efficient workload distribution and timely project delivery. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Track and report project status to senior management and stakeholders through regular updates. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, encouraging problem-solving and knowledge-sharing. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering project management or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, and software product development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a strong understanding of their implementation in software development projects.
  • Ability to follow through on tasks effectively and build strong professional connections.
  • Hands-on experience using JIRA for task tracking, sprint planning, and backlog management.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and project tracking.
  • B.S/M.S in Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous developer experience in Python/Java and AI/ML a plus
  • A strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-discipline, geographically dispersed team.
