Description

Drive end-to-end program execution from concept through launch by defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and milestones with stakeholders, while effectively managing schedules, risks, dependencies, and resources across teams to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery. Serve as the central point of contact across engineering, product management, design, QA, operations, and other teams to facilitate cross-functional alignment and ensure all stakeholders are working toward shared goals. Lead program reviews, stand-ups, and steering committee meetings while influencing long-term roadmaps, aligning initiatives with business and product strategy, and using KPIs and performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions. Anticipate scaling needs, tech debt, or operational gaps and proactively propose solutions. Communicate program status, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility into overall program health. Mentor junior program managers and project coordinators while championing a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and high-quality delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading cross-functional engineering portfolios and managing complex program interdependencies across regions.
  • Proven track record of delivering engineering programs spanning 5+ teams and multiple geographies in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams of program managers or technical leads.
  • Strong technical background; able to understand system architectures, infrastructure patterns, and engineering trade-offs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence engineers, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Skilled in risk management, dependency tracking, milestone planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Deep understanding of Agile, hybrid, and waterfall development methodologies.
  • Ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments and resolve blockers quickly and efficiently.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PgMP, Agile certifications, or similar experience is a plus.
  • Experience with applied machine learning or Generative AI is preferred.
  • Able to work independently, quickly grasp new concepts, and lead analytic and systems integration projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to connect across levels and develop trusted cross-functional partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change through influence, collaboration, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
