Employee Development Program Manager- Hardware Engineering

Come join a team of dedicated people passionate about continuously improving the culture in Hardware Engineering (HWE). We are looking for someone to help create, implement, and run our employee development programs in partnership with senior leaders and many other teams across Apple.

Description

In this role, you will create and run initiatives and programs designed to enhance the experience and development of all HWE employees, ranging from those who are very early in their careers to senior leadership. We are searching for someone who is eager to help others, solve large and very complex problems, and obsess over every detail. You will blend your understanding of HWE and all of its business functions with data on the best strategies to inform which programs we focus on. Once leadership is aligned on the goal, you will then own the execution of the strategy - from concept to completion - while ensuring all key stakeholders are able to provide feedback along the way. You should be able to effectively prioritize, drive decisions, and problem solve while working both collaboratively and individually. You will also need to use data to track the efficacy of initiatives, implement methods of collecting feedback, and apply what you learn to continuously iterate, change, and improve programs and practices. You should be comfortable influencing a diverse and passionate group, ranging from executives to those early in their careers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in project/program management, working closely with and influencing executive leadership in an engineering organization
  • Passionate about creating inclusive workspaces and developing and mentoring people
  • Self-starter who is meticulous, highly organized, creative, excited to deal with ambiguity, and flourishes in a highly dynamic environment
  • Experience with leading large-scale programs from concept to completion
  • Proven success building meaningful business relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and managing partner expectations
  • Able to think critically, especially when exploring and evaluating solutions and making data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional communication skills and effective at conveying information in a variety of formats to multiple different audiences
  • Anticipates the needs of others and can foresee and prevent possible issues prior to program implementation
  • Able to effectively prioritize and allocate attention among multiple tasks while adhering to strict schedules
  • Eager to receive and implement feedback to continuously improve, striving for excellence
  • BA or BS in Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understands the engineering design process and can apply the same rigor to all projects, even those focused on developing people
  • Experience with facilitating group trainings or leading sophisticated conversations

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $280,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
