Apple is seeking a high performing individual contributor who can demonstrate excellence in engineering design as a hands-on Technologist! This individual will be characterizing and testing displays, interact cross-functionally with key partners in product design and development, as well as with display module suppliers. You will be responsible for the design of OLED display components, and will have opportunity to add to Apple's intellectual property. Description
- Develop and define the display module electrical and optical performance specifications. - Collaborate with the display supplier engineering counterpart as the primary contact window to conduct design validation, failure analysis, corrective action and set up specifications. - Perform the necessary display testing and review test results from the display vendors, system OEMs, and cross-functional groups at Apple to ensure the display performance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or similar with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of optoelectronic materials and devices.
- Experience working with electronic tests and optical characterization equipment.
- Experience with Matlab, Python, JMP, Excel or similar software.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering Material Science, or similar.
- Expertise in the electrical and optical performance validation of optoelectronic devices preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in active matrix flat panel displays strongly preferred, particularly in display optics and electronics, fabrication processes, and system design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high ability to collaborate with team members from multiple engineering disciplines.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
