EMC Design Technologist

Description
In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex EMC/ESD/EMI/RFE challenges. You'll conduct EM simulations on various topics to aid in the development of cutting-edge consumer electronics products. We're seeking an individual who consistently seeks new knowledge, possesses self-starting qualities, and can work independently with remarkable success. Responsibilities
- Simplify complex CAD geometries from various sources and make them ready for integration into complete systems.
- Import board files from various flexes and seamlessly integrate them into a comprehensive system assembly.
- Perform system-level and module-level EMC/ESD/EMI/RFE simulations.
- Perform complex hybrid EM/Circuit simulations by integrating s-parameters with circuit models.
- Review and analyze electrical and mechanical designs, as well as designing and conducting experiments to validate simulation models.
- Apply AI and ML techniques to simulation workflows to facilitate early design explorations.

Minimum Qualifications
- MSEE in an EMC or EM-related field
- 3+ years of experience with EM simulation software such as CST, ANSYS, EMCoS, and/or COMSOL.
- Deep understanding of EM physics in the areas of EMC, EMI, and/or RFE.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Must be highly motivated and must have excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in EMC or EM related field
- 5+ years of experience with EM simulation software such as CST, ANSYS, EMCoS, and/or COMSOL.
- Experience with integrating AI tools in simulation workflows.
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and break down complex problems into simplified and manageable parts
- Knowledge of wireless power transfer systems and regulatory RF exposure standards
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
