Electrical Specialist

We develop and manage Apple's global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world. The Critical Facilities Electrical team manages all electrical systems, critical infrastructure, and power generation across the Places Portfolio. As a cross-functional team, we collaborate both within and beyond the Places organization to ensure operational excellence and reliability. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Manager to lead our electrical and critical environment operations. This pivotal role requires a strong leader who can oversee electrical Vendors, critical processes, and infrastructure while driving innovation and efficiency. The successful candidate will manage a diverse team of engineers and electricians, ensuring all maintenance and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role also involves developing and executing strategic initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering closely with other departments to align with organizational goals. The Electrical Specialist role involves developing and executing strategic initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering closely with other departments to align with organizational goals. Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and manage vendors
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve departmental performance, efficiency, and growth.
- Lead, mentor, and support the professional development of engineers and electricians.
- Handle budgets, allocate resources, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish specifications and requirements for systems and projects.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing clear goals, feedback, and coaching.
- Prepare and deliver professional reports and presentations using Excel, Word, and other tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical engineering technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in facilities management within a critical environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, operations, and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and industry standards.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and presentation tools.
- Strong knowledge of hyper-scale electrical and mechanical systems, as well as NFPA70e and OSHA laws specific to facilities and critical settings.
- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of electrical, and life safety systems typically used in critical environments.
- Knowledgeable in energy management systems.
- knowledge in all building system operations, maintenance, and repair.

- Highly organized, responsive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success balancing multiple projects, teams, and priorities concurrently.
- Data Center environments, controls, power generation, UPS (uninterruptible power supply), STS (static transfer switches), ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), batteries, critical facilities, troubleshooting, Electrical systems, electrical codes, Generators, and motors are all areas of expertise.
- Electrical journeyman license
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
