In this role, you will be responsible for electrical and optical performance analysis of LED devices for next-generation display.
Description
- Strong understanding of III-V semiconductor physics to drive device design optimization to meet product specs - Conduct comprehensive device testing to analyze performance and identify issues, perform failure analysis to understand root causes, and develop solutions. Strong analytical skills required to draw solid conclusions - Design and implement reliability test protocols, analyze degradation mechanisms and propose corrective actions to improve - Collaborate closely with epitaxy, process and integration to ensure end-to-end performance - Troubleshoot and resolve display-related issues during product development lifecycle - Manage project timeline to meet deliverables in time

Minimum Qualifications
- PhD degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Photonics, or a related field
- 10+ years of industry experience in Photonics, Semiconductor, or a related field
- Experience with optoelectronic characterization tools and FA techniques
- Experience interpreting complex data and draw solid conclusions
- Experience using statistical tools (JMP, etc.) and programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical expertise in III-V semiconductor device physics, e.g., LEDs, lasers, photodetectors or a related field
- Experience with reliability testing and failure analysis of LEDs or similar semiconductor devices
- Critical thinking and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to facilitate effective multi-functional collaboration
- Experience to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to own areas of responsibility, being able to self-motivate
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
