The ideal candidate will have experience building internal security and developer communities at its foundation. This includes developing a comprehensive strategy of engagement and bringing security stakeholders together from across Apple to build a security community and lead security events. In this role, you will also own development and implementation of enterprise communications for AIS. This includes working with stakeholders across Apple (security teams, Corporate Communications, etc.) to develop communication governance requirements and send security communications under one voice of security. This is a manager role where you will lead multiple teams within the security organization. We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in developing and empowering teams to deliver. You will posses strong motivation skills and support your team in building relationships and removing blockers as needed.

Description
As the Community and Communications Manager you will: Lead multiple teams focused on the development of a security culture throughout apple, via community development, security events, and communications Define and execute the strategy for the security community and communications space, identifying where we can improve existing programs and areas where we should be developing communities or communicating that we are not Work with your team to plan and host security events (Security Summits, Tech Talks, Gamified Learning, etc.), including logistics, strategy, and continuous improvement Strengthen existing security communities (general security and developer communities) and identify areas where additional outreach, engagement, and community development is needed Partner with key stakeholder from across Apple (security teams, PR, Legal, Corporate Communications) to develop a comprehensive community and communications strategy for security Own notification tooling within AIS (Twilio), aligning AIS and embedded security teams under a unified voice of security
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years people management experience, including management of entry level to senior level talent
- 5+ years of experience in community development and communications, specifically in the information security space
- Experience developing security communities and running security outreach/events
- Ability to collaborate and gain support with cross-functional partners
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with maturity and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work with your team to create and track metrics and other data analytics to continually improve the spaces you own
- Proficient in Pages, Numbers, Keynote, design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other technology solutions for security community/communication needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Developer skills or previous experience working with developer populations
- Background in corporate communications or PR
- Experience working with notification tooling such as Populo or Twilio
