In this role, you will be a key member of the system engineering team working on the features and requirements of modem systems.

Description

You will take part in the pioneering work of designing and developing innovative cellular system-level simulation models and infrastructure, which will play a meaningful role in standardization as well as in defining future 5G and 6G cellular modem products.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement cellular 5G and 6G system-level models for PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, SDAP and RRC layers
  • Design state-of-the art channel models for system-level applications including sub-THz and ray-tracing models
  • Integrate our cellular models with network simulators like ns-3
  • Design system-level test cases for feature verification, drive feature bring-up and issue resolution
  • Design and implement innovative algorithms during the 3GPP standardization process (RAN1, RAN2, RAN4) for next generation cellular communication systems
  • Perform simulation studies on system- and network level to assess the impact of new features and algorithms including end-to-end (PHY to Application), coexistence with WiFi/BT and cross-layer optimizations
  • Contribute to simulation framework related topics, such as regression testing infrastructure, test coverage analysis, automation scripting, tool and library integration
  • Closely collaborate with multi-functional customers on requirements, architecture, project plans and feature bring-up
