The iOS Car Experience team gives customers smarter, safer ways to use iPhone in the car. We craft solutions like CarPlay and Driving Focus Mode, and we also partner with a broad multi-functional team inside Apple to deliver experiences such as digital car key. We work hand-in-hand with automakers worldwide to integrate features into nearly every new vehicle shipping today, features that drivers love and use every day. The iOS Car Experience team is looking for a hardworking, highly motivated senior systems engineer with 10+ years experience to help provide technical design and development support to automotive partners from initial concept through production launch. You will join a hands-on development team that nurtures creativity and generates novel solutions to deliver phenomenal automotive user experiences with iOS devices.

Key Qualifications
- Experience working in a technical position with automotive displays
- Project leadership responsibilities, including executive communication
- Excellent cross-disciplinary debugging and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Creativity and passion for design
- Comfort with sophisticated systems, fast-paced environments, and tight schedules
- 10 years automotive industry experience and/or experience shipping high-volume consumer products
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Experience with in-vehicle infotainment systems preferred
Description
In this position, you will cooperate with a variety of cross and multi-functional team members from a diverse array of groups across the company and at partner companies. You will coordinate with automotive industry engineering and development teams to understand how to integrate iOS car integration features into their systems and achieve the best end user experience. We work with internal teams in the development stages of new features and recommend solutions that will work for our partners, then collaborate on specifications. You will interact with the brightest minds in the industry and tackle some of the most fast paced problems.
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
