Camera Software QA Engineer
As a QA Engineer on the Camera Software team, you will be responsible for testing and validating new camera features across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You will design and execute detailed test plans, identify and document issues, and work closely with software and hardware teams to ensure the highest image quality and reliability.

As a QA Engineer on the Camera Software team, you will work hands-on with the camera features that shape the way millions of people capture photos and videos every day. You will explore and test new imaging capabilities, evaluate user experience and reliability, and help ensure that every release delivers the seamless quality and creativity Apple users expect. This role involves close collaboration with software engineers, as well as opportunities to influence product quality from the earliest stages of development. Responsibilities
- Work with engineering leads to develop test plans to validate new Camera features.
- Write test plans to cover pre-submission testing.
- Run existing test plans to validate various camera features and technologies.
- Document and report failures and issues observed.
- Track reported issues to make sure they are resolved on time and validate the fixes.
- Compile test reports for other testers and managers to review.
Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of QA testing methodologies and strategy.
- Working knowledge of Photo and Video formats and technologies.
- Working knowledge of test tracking and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Media metadata information and interpretation.
- Scripting language (working knowledge).
- Automation and command line tools (working knowledge)
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
