Description

Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and detail oriented Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams on large scale business process transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into clear technical requirements that guide understanding of the problem statement, solution design, development, and implementation. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a structured problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for supporting cross-functional teams to implement new ways of working in areas such as contra revenue, back margin, commissions, OPEX programs, headcount dollars and programs, etc. with an emphasis on leveraging process reengineering, automation and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and insight generation. This impactful role blends data analytics, business product ownership, and process innovation and is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, process, systems thinking, and execution. You will work with a team of Business Process Manager and Program Managers and a team of functional subject-matter experts (SMEs) across Sales, Sales Finance, Operations and Technology to understand current and future state data and process, identify bottlenecks, design scalable solutions, and lead initiatives from discovery to concept to measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their goals, processes, and challenges.
  • Articulating technical concepts in business-friendly language to secure buy-in and drive change.
  • Document and translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with product and program managers, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are well understood and feasible.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis or data gathering to assess a business challenge
  • Assess current state data inputs and outputs, data flow, system capabilities, and outline it in effective ways to support process analysis and requirement gathering
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure technical solutions meet business needs
  • Partner with technical teams to rightsize and identify solutions to build a strong data foundation, explore automation and AI/ML capabilities to address business challenges
  • Maintain and manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support solution design by identifying gaps, dependencies, and potential risks.
  • Partner with QA to define acceptance criteria, test cases, and validate solutions meet business needs.
  • Assist in change management, user training, and documentation as needed.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience of industry experience in corporate finance, revenue management, sales planning, or sales operations
  • 2+ years experience in business analytics, program or product management, management consulting, enterprise process/digital transformation role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exposure to sales, business development, finance, and finance operations
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and high profile deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Track record of identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending solutions, and implementing them
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience with development lifecycles and managing agile scrum environments
  • Strong curiosity for understanding business needs and translating them into tangible analytical outputs that lead to meaningful impact.
  • Enjoy working with large volumes of data flowing across various interconnected systems
  • Strong Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) experience including creating, writing & maintaining views, and visualization tools like Tableau
  • Experience/knowledge in Semantic Layer and SQL
  • Experience with ETL process & tools
  • Experience with global projects incorporating regional and country-specific details
  • Experience implementing enterprise scale process and or systems
  • Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience presenting and making recommendations to senior level managers
  • International travel may be required

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,500 and $166,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
