We are a team of diverse engineers coming together to create prototypes of innovative audio technologies and guiding their implementation into Apple's products. Description

The primary focus of the Audio ML Algorithm Engineer is to: - Develop ML training pipelines - Be comfortable with scalable data preprocessing and model evaluation - Be willing to work in a research branch of an implementation-focused team - Collaborate with a broad variety of engineers from various organizations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Research experience in speech and audio algorithm development using machine learning (released product features, patents, papers, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience developing machine learning pipelines
  • Fluency in python/PyTorch, common software engineering practices, and version control
  • Experience developing real-time speech and audio processing software

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with on-device models and firmware constraints
  • Familiarity with psycho-acoustics, speech, and language modeling
  • Experience with perception or audio understanding

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
