We're looking for a power and performance test automation and characterization engineer to help build the infrastructure for power and performance measurement.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with power and performance testing and characterization, embedded device experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills; great work ethic and teamwork
  • Experience designing and delivering tools to automate testing or data analysis workflows
  • Experience with front-facing GUI design
  • Experience with RDBMS database design and implementation (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Strong statistical data analysis skills
  • Strong in Python, Bash/Zsh, SQL
  • Comfortable with C, C++
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Computer architecture knowledge is a plus, embedded hardware in particular

Description

The ideal candidate will have strong passion to work with an engineering team to deliver high-quality products and solve challenging technical real-world problems. You'll help define and develop automation pipelines, data analysis tools, and data visualization tools to characterize hardware and software to support a variety of teams within Apple. Your characterization and data-driven analysis will help guide power and performance optimization: you'll work directly with power and performance teams, HW design teams and others in Cupertino and other locations to optimize, define, and implement developing new technology.

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
