Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Inform the future direction of Apple display technology and their user experiences. Plan and conduct user experience research to support the discovery, exploration and testing of our concepts. Analyze user requirements to brainstorm design experiences. Design user interfaces and interactions for the same. Build hardware-software prototypes for the proposed experience. Present artifacts to display leadership and socialize our work with product teams. Build experience prototypes that help inform the future direction of Apple displays, sensing, and other new hardware. Develop next-generation computational display algorithms and machine learning models to enable best-in-class visual quality on display systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide strong leadership and expertise for initiating new projects. Contribute to and lead technology development and productization. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Human Design Engineering or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 6 months of experience in each of the following skills is required:
  • Programming language experience: MATLAB, Python, or Swift
  • Computer hardware prototyping using Arduino or Raspberry Pi to drive hardware in novel ways
  • Computer hardware prototyping experience of displays, sensing, or user interfaces
  • Experience working with hardware APIs
  • Experience in roles, methods, processes, and best practices for user-centered design
  • Experience in vetting and iterating on user interface development by conceiving, sketching, and prototyping
  • Experience in qualitative research methods to assess the desirability of novel prototypes
  • Experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, or Tableau
