As a Wireless RF Firmware Validation Engineer on the physical layer and RF validation team, you will be at the center of the embedded 5G/4G/multimode cellular firmware effort within a silicon design group responsible for crafting and productizing innovative cellular SoCs. This position requires someone comfortable with all aspects of RF Integration and validation, thrives in a multifaceted multi-functional organization, is not afraid to debate ideas openly, and is flexible enough to adjust to constantly evolving requirements!

Key Qualifications

  • BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of mobile communications in 4G/5G 3GPP protocols and Physical layer & Radio Test aspects
  • Experience in RF Test metrics for a Cellular Modem and 3GPP RF Test case development in 2G/3G/4G/5G.
  • Experience in Test Automation and CI setup.
  • Excellent command of scripting languages such as Python.
  • The ability to triage and debug embedded software systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Communication theory, Wireless standards, Radio architecture, and Interfaces

Description

- An integral part of the RF Integration and triage team, responsible for high-quality work track RF SW performance for every release. - Perform issue triage and debug for all RF functional issues - Automate and implement RF Test cases and log test results on Continuous Integration systems. - Specify, design, and develop Signaling mode Test coverage for all new features for R17 & R18 3GPP standard. - Collaborate with multiple Test teams, such as product tests and compliance tests to resolve optimal coverage and efficient delivery. - Work across various test systems from multiple TE vendors. - Work with multi-functional organization between Firmware, Cellular/ RF systems, and hardware designers to develop end-to-end feature test mechanisms.

Education & Experience

BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
