  • Strategy Development:
    • Design and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the business and marketing goals, while anticipating industry trends and shifts.
    • Lead the growth and editorial strategy for our social channels, ensuring they amplify our brand voice.

Develop and champion social media best practices, guidelines, and thought leadership content, empowering employees and internal stakeholders to represent the AppFolio brand authentically and effectively.
  • Drive strong collaboration and execution with our integrated communications agency. 
  • Content Management:
    • Oversee the creation, curation, and management of engaging content across LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and other social platforms. 
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams—Creative, Campaigns, Events, Content, Paid Digital, and Talent Acquisition—to source, refine, and amplify content, driving both brand consistency and audience engagement.
    • Craft compelling content that reflects the AppFolio brand voice and positions us as a thought leader in the industry.
    • Collaborate with the Creative Studio team to conceptualize and produce cutting-edge visual content and explore new content creation tools to elevate visual storytelling.
    • Lead community management efforts by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely and brand-aligned manner, and fostering meaningful conversations to strengthen brand loyalty.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess and report on campaign impact, providing actionable insights to optimize future campaigns.
    • Stay ahead of the curve by exploring emerging technologies, social media trends, and industry best practices, integrating these innovations to increase platform engagement, optimize campaigns, and drive measurable results.
    • Develop and promote social best practices and guidelines to equip employees and internal thought leaders to represent the AppFolio brand.
    Qualifications
    • 6+ years in social strategy, management, and content creation, ideally with in-house experience. 
    • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in using listening and analytics tools (Sprout Social, Meltwater, AI tools) to drive strategic decisions.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for digital marketing trends.
    • Proactive problem-solver with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
    • Solid understanding of AppFolio’s business, product suite, target audience, market landscape, and brand standards.
    • A portfolio that showcases your creative flair, strategic thinking, and proven results.

    Compensation & Benefits
    The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is $104,000 to $130,000.
    The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.
    Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
