Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager that will become an integral part of the corporate accounting team, and gain leadership skills by helping coach junior members of the team. This position is a new addition to the team, and will closely support our Sr. Accounting Manager as an individual contributor and build relationships with the broader finance organization.

You are responsible for by delivering accurate and timely monthly closes and proactively look for areas of improvement. Wow our internal customers by demonstrating an understanding of the business and partnering with them to gain efficiency and effectiveness across the department.  

  

Your impact:  

  • Perform detailed financial statement analysis and work closely with FP&A and business partners to provide accounting and variance analysis support.  

  • Support and supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes  

  • Drive automation and on-going process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of GL accounting and reporting, and reduce close timeline.  

  • Manage inter-company balances and insure inter-company agreements are recorded  

  • Review of fluctuation analyses and performance of financial statements analytics, providing relevant explanations for fluctuations provided to senior management  

  • Lead post close accounting deck and meeting, collaborating with key stakeholders  

  • Perform technical accounting research and assist in developing and managing the documentation of accounting policies and procedures.   

  • Provide guidance and training to subordinates  

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls required by SOX  

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly SEC reporting. Prepare financial statements and other schedules for 10-Q and 10-K filings as well as various footnote schedules.  

  • Partner cross-functionally with AP, FP&A, and various functional business owners to establish best practices.  

  • Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments  

  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management  

   

What we think it takes to get the job:  

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze financial statement and articulate material financial fluctuations to management  

  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in changing situations  

  • Demonstration of strong sense of business acumen, good judgment, and influence  

  • Ability to proactively identify areas for improvement and provide well thought out solutions and effectively carry out the implementation of those solutions  

  • Experience in accounting system and process transformations   

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners  

  

Must have:  

  • BA/BS in Economics, Business, or a related field; emphasis in Accounting a plus  

  • CPA License  

  • 5+ years of accounting experience  

  • Public accounting audit and assurance experience or similar industry experience  

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP   

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Excel  

  

The base salary/hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $105,000- $140,000.  The actual base salary/hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
