Senior Business Analyst (Hybrid)
As the Senior Business Analyst with American Family Insurance focused on account receivables, account payable and other payment functions, you will engage with subject matter experts and process owners to understand business issues and analyze business requirements for complex automation projects. You will develop, complete, correct, and operationally defined functional and non-functional requirements.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Business Systems.

Position Compensation Range:
$86,000.00 - $142,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with business teams to create project charters for automation projects.
- Capture and document requirements based on the business system's development methodology.
- Translate business needs into understandable requirements for clients and technologists.
- Develop requirements for solution design and components.
- Find requirements from architectural/design decisions.
- Define quality attributes, constraints, and non-functional requirements.
- Evaluate and reconcile information from multiple sources, distinguishing user requests from true needs.
- Analyze requirements to ensure they meet higher-level objectives.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience providing customer-driven solutions and support.
- Expertise defining technical SDLC requirements for complex IT projects.
- Consulting experience developing test strategies and plans for medium to large IT projects.
- Proficiency using facilitation techniques to elicit and document requirements.
- Familiarity with modeling techniques/tools for requirement agreement.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
- Understanding of system architecture and engineering processes.
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies and interconnectivity between platforms and tools.
- Insight into general business operations and strategies.
- Accounts receivable and payment knowledge is a bonus.
- Jira and Confluence experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong understanding of business rules management and rules engines.
- Experience with automation projects, especially in account receivables and payments.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Administer business rules within the organization's rules engine, including creation, modification, and validation of rules to support automation and compliance needs.
- Ensure business rules are specific, practicable, testable, and under the control of the business, serving as criteria for guiding behavior, shaping judgments, or making decisions.
- Work closely with IT and process owners to ensure business rules are properly implemented and maintained in production environments.
