You will oversee the integrity of rule and rate revisions for all commercial lines. You will analyze and interpret rate and rating plan changes. Compile and integrate data into rating processes and systems. Effectively communicate the status, implementation, and impact of changes to rules, rates, and procedures. Develop and run standard and ad-hoc reports for the department to support the analysis and business partner requests. Provide enhanced technical project support to project teams and will participate on projects within defined scope and responsibility. You will report directly to the Senior Manager. Primary Accountabilities
- Leads process for integrating and manipulating industry, bureau and other data into worksheets, exhibits and other documents and processes utilized with rate revisions.
- Leads process for rate change implementation, systems impact and agent communications of rate and rule changes.
- Prepares communications for the department.
- Prepares and submits filings.
- Reviews bureau activity and makes recommendations for department changes.
- Conducts premium comparisons & analysis and contributes to consumer responses.
- Creates and defines reports as requested and provide basic analysis to support business decisions.
- Ensures that each request for data and/or analysis is delivered effectively and on time to support department needs.
- Gathers and analyzes data and define data requirements to support business reporting.
- Responsible for the coordination of business projects. Document and maintain business project plans, and goals, roles, and processes to clarify scope, schedule, and budget. Identify key dependencies, resources, timeframes, and milestones for key deliverables.
- Gathers information and analyze problems across the team and department to proactively recommend solutions to leadership. Work with the team to create and maintain a business project plan containing objectives, timeline, priorities, and risks.
- Provides post-implementation results monitoring and adjustment. Continually improve project skills via learnings and best practices from prior business projects, training, peers, etc. Facilitate distribution and/or archival of project documentation.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
- Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications and Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated experience using and manipulating data in databases, spreadsheets, and analysis tools.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of actuarial rates and filing standards and insurance pricing terminology.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of reporting tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience with project management, coordination or analysis.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 10%.
Physical Requirements
- Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Preferred candidate:
- Experience working in the P&C Insurance space.
- Advanced excel experience (INDEX and MATCH, VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP, ARRAY FORMULAS, IFERROR).
