As the Senior Design Program Manager for Design Quality, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of user experiences within the Devices & Services Design organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Design Quality, you’ll join a team focused on accelerating high-quality, cohesive design by defining and scaling the standards that ensure exceptional product experiences across all design disciplines and delivery mechanisms.
In this role, you will lead the effort to scale and embed inclusive design practices across Devices & Services Design. Your expertise in design operations and deep understanding of inclusive design will directly impact the quality, accessibility, and reach of our products and services. You will partner across disciplines to ensure our standards, tools, and processes support inclusion and accessibility from concept through delivery—raising the bar by designing for a broad range of human needs and contexts.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, high judgment, and the ability to influence across functions. You’ll drive cross-organizational alignment, manage stakeholder communication, and lead adoption of inclusive design mechanisms. You will also be responsible for measuring impact and proactively identifying and addressing design risks to ensure consistently high-quality user experiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Define, implement, and manage cross-functional mechanisms that embed inclusive design practices and improve overall design quality.
- Lead change initiatives, driving engagement, and effectively managing challenges to drive successful organizational transformation.
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering leaders to align on shared strategy, goals, and metrics for quality mechanisms.
- Lead operational initiatives that support design quality at scale, including planning, training, documentation, and process development.
- Proactively identify risks, manage escalations, and make informed trade-offs to support scalable, effective operations.
- Develop and scale repeatable, measurable processes and tools that help teams operationalize inclusion.
- Create documentation and reporting to communicate progress, impact, and areas of opportunity to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and foster alignment with senior leaders across Devices & Services.
- Promote transparency, visibility, and a strong culture of collaboration and shared ownership.
About the team
The Amazon Devices and Services Design Group (DDG) is a multidisciplinary design team that is responsible for the UX of Echo Family Devices, Alexa Mobile, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and more. DDG’s mission is to bring to life delightful, easy-to-use, and high value experiences for our customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of design experience- Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions
- Experience building and managing cross-functional programs.
- Skilled in creating tools, training, and processes that support team efficiency and design excellence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of human-centered design process- Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management
- Familiarity inclusive design principles, accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and equity-centered design
- Experience driving change in complex, matrixed organizations with distributed design teams
- Familiarity with design quality frameworks, design systems, and impact measurement
- Experience building communities of practice or enabling behavior change at scale

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
