Job summary
Amazon Advertising is committed to maintaining and advancing the trust of our customers. We have a Customer Trust team that is focused on advancing this commitment and raising the bar on our advertising products and services through privacy, compliance, security, and ad quality. We are looking for a seasoned leader to help us lead and further develop our privacy program.

Key job responsibilities
The Role:
• You will be responsible for a team of policy and program managers working with one goal - Customer Trust.
• Lead the development and implementation of solutions for global privacy challenges that engenders trust with our customers.
• Drive privacy initiatives by working directly with our legal, public policy, service, product, and other partner teams.

• Ensure that our products are designed, operated, maintained and protected to maintain customer trust.
• Own delivering key customer privacy features, internal policies and practices, and multiple critical team goals enabling teams across Advertising to improve their privacy posture.
• Work with various partner engineering teams, legal, PR and public policy.
• Drive innovative solutions to challenging advertising problems with a well-reasoned and customer-obsessed vision, roadmap, and prioritization.
• Create and deliver communication tailored to the audience, ranging from executive level project updates to detailed financial reports.
• Quickly learn and communicate privacy responsibility scope/needs of business partners and company leadership, and key stakeholders (Business Leaders, Legal, PR, Public Policy) and drive insightful discussions.
• Ensure goal alignment across stakeholder groups which may include customers, internal teams, external groups (including industry bodies and regulators), and partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in privacy, ad tech, or advertising.
• Strong understanding of the current and future Ad tech landscape.
• Understanding the current landscape of privacy issues and privacy laws
• Strong knowledge of key global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
• Ability to understand complex business processes and technologies.
• Analytical decision making with a demonstrated ability problem solve, make decisions in complex situations and drive issues to completion.
• Proven history of having worked effectively across cross-functional teams and business functions to drive positive change.
• Experience working with and managing relationships with external and multi-stakeholder groups.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
• Excel at using both verbal and written communication skills and clear customer focus.
• Ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing.
• Track record working with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
• Engenders trust and respect in all working relationships; uses influencing and negotiation skills
• Experience with cross-group collaboration, creative thinking, and problem solving.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a combination of these to compliment this jobs basic qualifications. A successful candidate does not need to have all of these.
• 12+ years in ad tech, privacy or engineering role
• Experience in data privacy or security compliance in Ad tech or other highly technical environment
• Relentlessly high standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
• Excellent presenter and communicator in both oral and written form in one-to-one and one-to-many forums.
• Has presented to C-level executives as well as to technical subject matter experts.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to define requirements and apply strategic thinking.
• Relevant Privacy or Security certifications (CRISC, CISSP, CISM)
• Master's Degree in law, public policy, business, communications or similar graduate degree.
