Join the Supplier Management & Data Analytics Team within Sourcing & Procurement Solutions for a hands-on summer internship focused on supplier risk assessment, performance evaluation, and process improvement. You'll work with tools like Ariba and Archer, collaborate across teams, and contribute to initiatives that leverage data and AI to enhance supplier compliance and reporting. Ideal for students in business, supply chain, or related fields. This is a fully remote position and may require travel and some office days in Chicago, IL or Charlotte, NC.

Area of Responsibility (AOR)

  • Supplier Management & Data Analytics Team, Sourcing & Procurement Solutions

Job Description

  • Conduct supplier due diligence activities, such as risk assessments and monitoring.
  • Enhance supplier relationships through supplier performance evaluations.
  • Support process improvements and utilize metrics and reporting for supplier management.
  • Ensure risk, compliance and performance standards are consistently met by suppliers.
  • Provide support for execution of key supplier management and data analytics initiatives.

What You Will Learn This Summer

  • Evaluate suppliers against various risks and understand contracting practices.
  • Gain insights into Sourcing & Procurement Solution's role in the overall supplier management and data analytics processes.
  • Learn about the integration of sourcing activities with supplier management and the impact on organizational success.
  • Build relationships with other business areas and risk groups that support Supplier Management & Data Analytics.
  • Leverage technology and artificial intelligence (generative and agentic) to drive process efficiencies and improvements.
  • Deliver presentations to the members of the Supplier Management & Data Analytics Team and various other groups and stakeholders.

Core Capabilities You Will Develop This Summer

  • Procurement analytics skills that support of supplier management and enterprise goals.
  • Knowledge of contracting and risk management tools, such as Ariba and Archer.
  • Invoice reconciliation and management of supplier information.
  • Reporting and communication skills within a business context.
  • Understanding of sourcing, procurement, and their roles in effective supplier management.

Job Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics or related business fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit a high degree of initiative.
  • Interest in supply chain management, procurement, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills and effective team collaboration.
  • Project management skills - inception to execution
  • Advanced time management skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
