Senior Database Developer - Integon

Job Description
The Database Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions that support business-critical applications and analytics. This role involves building efficient and scalable data structures, developing complex SQL code, and ensuring the quality, performance, and security of database solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL development and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex data challenges.
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely; however, candidates must reside in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize complex database schemas and SQL queries to support transactional and analytical systems.
- Develop and maintain data integration workflows and ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Build and manage reporting solutions leveraging SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to support business intelligence and operational reporting needs.
- Conduct database code and design reviews, ensuring adherence to performance, security, and coding standards.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable database solutions.
- Identify and resolve data bottlenecks, improve data processing efficiency, and reduce compliance risks.
- Lead and participate in testing activities, manage defect resolution, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support project planning by providing accurate estimates, defining milestones, and ensuring timely delivery of database components.
- Act as a mentor and technical resource for junior developers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
Technical Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL development, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with SSIS for ETL and data integration workflows.
- Proven experience with SSRS for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Solid understanding of database architecture, normalization, and data modeling principles.
- Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
