Job Description
This is a Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering role.

This is an experienced professional job, responsible for collaborating with clients to enable them with trusted, actionable data to break down business problems into solvable components. These employees provide analytical product support for a variety of internal customers and external recipients. These employees will support the delivery of analytical visualization reports, Ad Hoc requests and data quality efforts for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop Reporting Solutions
  • Build intuitive, scalable Power BI dashboards and reports that enable business users to explore and understand new product features and functionalities prior to implementation.
  • Data Integration and Transformation
  • Connect to diverse data sources (e.g., Oracle/ADW, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses/Data Warehouses) and perform complex joins, transformations, and data modeling to support analytics needs.
  • Collaborate Across Teams
  • Partner with internal teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights tailored to various personas and role levels.
  • Support Data Engineering and Analytics
  • Deliver clean, validated, and transformed datasets for modeling and analysis, leveraging tools such as SQL, Python, and Microsoft Fabric pipelines.
  • Enable Self-Service Analytics
  • Build and maintain self-service and ad hoc reporting solutions that support dynamic segmentation and empower users to make data-driven decisions. Ensure Data Quality and Governance
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues, identify root causes, and document resolutions while contributing to internal knowledge bases like the PI Wiki.
  • Optimize Performance and Maintain Standards
  • Monitor report performance, apply Power BI best practices, and ensure version control and documentation are consistently maintained.
  • Drive Automation and Innovation
  • Collaborate on the implementation of automated data solutions and stay current with emerging technologies in Microsoft Fabric and the broader data ecosystem.

Experience

  • 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • 3+ years of Power BI development experience (Preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric workspace management and dataflows (Preferred)
  • Solid experience with Spark (Databricks, Synapse, or Fabric Spark preferred)
  • Advanced SQL skills across platforms (including Oracle and T-SQL) (Preferred)
  • Proficiency with DAX and Power Query (M) (Preferred)
  • Experience working with large datasets and optimizing queries for performance (Preferred)
  • Understanding of data lakehouse architecture, medallion models, and delta tables (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $61,000.00 - 106,210.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
